RCBI launches SMS campaign to support Earthquake Victims

RCBI has launched an immediate SMS / text message donation campaign. Please support the earthquake victims by texting ERDBEBEN to 81190 (German cell phones only!). 5.00 Euro will be deducted from your phone bill, of which 4,83 Euro will go to the SHELTERBOX project. Berlin, September 25, 2009:
Premiere of the movie THE FINAL INCH in Berlin on October 22

On the occasion of the national anti-polio activity day of all German Rotary Clubs the RC Berlin International (i. Gr.) invites you to the movies! The movie THE FINAL INCH by director Irene Taylor Brodsky was nominated in 2008 at the Academy Award (Oscar) as best documentary. In Germany it will be shown for the first time in a movie theatre in Cologne on Oct. 21, and in Berlin on Oct. 22.

Berlin & Stuttgart, September 16, 2009:
RCs Berlin International and Stuttgart Solitude launch text message donation campaign

Beginning immediately, a text message with the word POLIO sent to the number 8 11 90 will donate 5 Euro towards the Rotarian initiative POLIOPLUS. The amount is billed through the cell phone's invoice and directly goes towards the fight against child paralysis (also Poliomyelitis, or ‚Polio' for short). [more]

RC Berlin International launches cellphone donation campaign.

Starting immediately, unneeded old cell-phones can be donated on the webpage www.handyspenden.de (handyspenden = donatecellphones), where the proceeds are given to fight infantile paralysis (Poliomyelitis, often called 'Polio' for short). The phones are refurbished and well-kept recent models can generate proceeds up to 100 EUR. [more]
