On the occasion of the national anti-polio activity day of all German Rotary Clubs the RC Berlin International (i. Gr.) invites you to the movies!
The movie THE FINAL INCH by director Irene Taylor Brodsky was nominated in 2008 at the Academy Award (Oscar) as best documentary. In Germany it will be shown for the first time in a movie theatre in Berlin on October 22.By visiting this special event you support the fight against polio. A part of the ticket fee of 20,00 Euro goes to the Rotary Deutschland Gemeindienst e.V. that supports vaccination campaigns in the affected countries.
Additionally, cell-phones can be donated in the foyer of the movie theatre in order to support the initiative "Donate cell-phones & fight polio" (www.handyspenden.de).
Furthermore, in the foyer there will be shown a photo exhibition of the french photographer Jean-Marc Giboux, who follows with his camera since 1997 the global initiative for the fight against polio.
